Thin lace wool

Hi everyone. This is just a quick post to share with you this lovely thin wool that I bought a while back. I bought it in a little haberdashery shop on a trip to Canterbury for £3.95. They had a variety of colours and I thought that these lovely teal and silver rolls went quite well together. I also bought a 1.25mm needle to crochet with. I haven’t made anything yet but I plan to try my hand at crocheting some doilies!

TIGER wool

photo (3)I’ve discovered this yarn from TIGER, which is fairly cheap at £1. It’s only 50g for a small roll, but I think it’s worth it for a specific project. However, the yarn is actually quite delicate, so it can rip easily when using for knitting. It works much better with a crochet project, and it’s sure to be very warm. Aside from these ones, TIGER also have some thinner yarn, which are plain and multicoloured.

Cheap Wilkinson wool

Blue wool

I’ve been having trouble finding cheap, good quality wool in high street shops until I came across this one.

It’s from Wilkinson and only costs £1.35 for one, which is not a bad price. They have a wide range of colours and styles; some of them are multi-coloured. I’ve chosen this baby blue for a crochet blanket that I’m making. It’s very soft and easy to crochet with, so they’re definitely worth it for that price.
